Captivating Talk by Daryl Davis

Today was the first of four days of Daryl Davis engaging with our students, parents and staff. Listening to him sharing his experiences was fascinating and captivating.

Daryl Davis talked about the importance of trying to understand your opponent instead of being offended. His successful efforts to improve race relations have been reported by media: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n1SKcq7J4s&feature=youtu.be

Daryl Davis worked extensively with Chuck Berry for 32 years. His inspiring talk was followed by an amazing performance on the piano, playing Blues, Rock’n’Roll and Boogie.

We look forward to hearing his lecture at the LMU this evening and having him here on campus for the rest of the week for additional sessions with our Theory of Knowledge, History and Music students!
