Students enjoyed workshop with filmmaker and alumnus Daniel Loher

On Monday, 15 October 2018, the Grade 11 and Grade 12 film classes were privileged to have a visit from independent film maker and cinematographer, Daniel Loher. Daniel (class of '94) is an MIS alumnus who currently has 2 children at MIS, so it was terrific for the students to hear about his path in film after leaving MIS.

Daniel's workshop included focus, depth of field, f-stops, iso settings, white balance and filming Day for Night – everything a cinematographer needs to shoot great footage. The students will be able to use this expertise in the creation of their final IBDP films.
