Students in the Primary Year Programme (PYP) at MIS have opportunities to perform, to role-play, to read and create play texts and to watch professional puppeteers, actors and international storytellers who are invited to the school or perform locally. Homeroom teachers working together with the drama coordinator engage students in drama through the units of inquiry to enhance learning. Additionally, for students who have a particular interest in the performing arts, there is a weekly after school drama programme and the recently introduced (annual event) Putting on a Play (POP).
