Junior School Library

The library in Junior School serves students from EC through Grade 5 as well as their parents and all MIS staff. The library houses over 22,000 items including fiction and non-fiction books, reference books, early readers, picture books, DVDs, and audio books.

We fully support the PYP with a wide range of English and German language materials in many subject areas, and the Language A section currently includes 19 additional languages. There are 11 student computers linked to the wireless network, and we currently subscribe to the following databases: The World Book Online Encyclopedia, Amazing Animals of the World, NewsBank–KidsPage, BrainPop, Bookflix, and Enchanted Learning.

Students come to the library weekly at a scheduled time with their homeroom teachers. Students may also drop by mornings until 09:30, or they may visit at the end of the school day with a parent. Parents are also encouraged to check out materials for their children. We encourage you to come by the library and have a look at the wonderful selection offered.
