At MIS, we believe in a balanced approach to education that encompasses academic, social and personal growth. We offer a range of programmes and activities that ensure students have the opportunity to develop new skills and passionate interests that will remain with them beyond their years at school.

Our Junior School is a community of learners and we
aim to make life at school a memorable, enjoyable and meaningful experience for all our students. We understand that this requires that students live and learn beyond the classroom - being a student at MIS includes a lot more that just attending classes.
Through our weekly assemblies we aim to develop risk-takers and communicators. Students are encouraged to explore new roles and ideas and in Grades 1-4, present them to an audience of their peers. In this context, all students are communicators learning to understand and express ideas and information confidently in more than one language and using a variety of modes of communication.
Involvement in the after school activities programme provides students with opportunities to enrich their lives and pursue hobbies and interests that assist in the development of a balanced and well-rounded character.
The Student Council provides an opportunity for leadership and for students to see that they can make a difference to the world. As a school meeting the needs of both local and global families, we make the most of opportunities to integrate with our host country through becoming involved in meaningful service projects and participating in local and regional events that are important for our students. Student Council members participate in assemblies and help build community through ‘school spirit’ events and fundraising for emergency appeals across the world.
