Grade 5
In Grade 5, students enter the final year of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). At the heart of the PYP’s philosophy is a commitment to structured inquiry as the leading vehicle for learning. Six trans-disciplinary themes provide the framework for the exploration of knowledge.
Teachers and students are guided by these themes as they design curricular units for exploration and study. Students explore subject areas through these themes, often in ways that transcend conventional subject boundaries. In the process, they develop an understanding of important concepts, acquire essential skills and knowledge, develop particular attitudes and learn to take socially responsible action.

Grades 6-8
In Grade 6, students begin the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP). The fundamental concepts of the MYP are Inter-cultural Awareness, Communication and Holistic Education. In Grades 6-8 every student studies each of the eight subject areas linked at left.
