The Personal Project is a culminating activity of learning in the MYP. Students select and develop a topic of personal interest with the assistance of a supervising teacher. Approaches to Learning is central to this and the project must also be informed by one other area of interaction. The work is developed over an extended period of time and then students present their work to the school community.
Every student will be required to undertake the Personal Project. It will be completed in grade 10. It is an opportunity for the student to demonstrate the skills they have developed over Grades 6-10 and to apply them to a topic of interest to themselves. It will enable them to demonstrate initiative, creativity and the ability to organise.
