Do you like to sing and perform?
Junior School Choir is musical theater for students in Grade 3 and 4. Grade 2 students can audition - please contact Ms. Richter directly (Prichter@mis-munich.de).
The Junior School Choir musical theater show on Thursday 26 of April 2012 will be a co– production with the IB Theater students, who will write, direct, design and produce the play for the JS Choir performing on stage. Before that the ensemble singers will sing at the winter concert on 4 December 2011.
We will rehearse from 15:15 to 16:15 through the fall/early winter. From 9 January till the stage performance the rehearsals will start at 15:15 and end at 17:15. There will be very few extra rehearsals to attend in addition to the weekly sessions.
The JS choir rehearsals don’t stop during the ASA breaks.
If your child would like to join the choir later during the year can do so, only after having contacted Ms. Richter.
Director: Petra Richter, graduated from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in München with a degree in Voice Performance, after having achieved her M.A. in music pedagogy at LMU München, Germany.
Petra is teaching, general music classes, voice and recorder as well as is directing the Junior School Choir. Petra Richter sings classical and modern, Lied, Opera and Oratorio, solo. But she also loves singing and performing in an ensemble. Her repertoire ranges from early to modern music. Petra is a member of the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, singing in the Extrachorus, i.e. Aida or Loghengrin.
