This group will feature activities and games designed to help students develop acting skills, teach them to cooperate with others and work as a team. Activities include miming, voice exercises, breathing, improvisation, concentration games, listening games, role playing. On most days class will end with a couple of short improvised skits.
Priority will be given to students that have participated in previous sessions.
Accordingly to the students’ participations, the teacher will prepare a short performance for the “Arts Open Doors Day” on March 27, 2012.
Principles of MIS JS after school Drama classes are:
Respect – Be aware of and take care of each other’s personal space, physically and emotionally.
Positivity – All ideas and creativity are valuable.
Listening – Always give your attention to the teacher or the person onstage. Be quiet and attentive unless you are participating.
Focus – Follow instructions and give your 100% effort.
Risk Taking – Be ready to try something new and different!
Enjoy – Be glad to have this new opportunity to express yourself!
