Over 5K Raised

A heartfelt congratulations to all Grade 8 students who worked so hard to prepare for the Winter Market and then braved the cold to sell their merchandise featuring delicious treats, handcrafts and games.

They raised over 5,000 Euros for the school and hospital in Tanzania supported by MIS. The students demonstrated their sense of responsibility as members of the MIS community as well as their ingenuity in developing the products to sell.

A special thank you to the teachers for all of their support in helping the students throughout this project.

Student Juliette says: “Alani and I decorated candles and sewed scrunchies, bookmarks, suitcase tags and masks, as well as bracelets for our Winter Market booth. We spent a lot of time making as many things as possible to sell and raise money for the Tanzania Project. We were sustainable in the making process because we mostly used leftovers instead of buying new materials.”

Alani adds: “It took quite some time to make our products look nice, and we had fun making and selling them.“
