What do you hope this year will bring for your child?
At the start of the 2026-27 school year, the Junior School is excited to launch Hopes and Dreams Meetings, a new opportunity to strengthen the partnership between home and school from the very beginning of the year.
These short, personalized meetings will give parents time to meet with their child’s teacher and share what they know best: their child’s strengths, interests, personality, and hopes for the year ahead. We want to hear what your child loves, where you see them growing, what helps them feel confident, and what you hope they will develop as a learner and as a person this year.
By beginning the year with this conversation, we can help every child feel known, valued, and supported from the start. These meetings will also give teachers important insight as they build classroom communities and establish strong foundations for communication, collaboration, and shared support with families.
Hopes and Dreams Meeting will take place as follows:
- Early Childhood: during Orientation Days on 19 and 20 August. Families will receive a personal invitation for these meetings.
- Grade 4: Monday, 24 August 2026
- Grade 3: Tuesday, 25 August 2026
- Grade 2: Wednesday, 26 August 2026
- Grade 1: Thursday, 27 August 2026
For Grades 1 to 4, a sign-up opportunity for these 15-minute meetings will be made available when class placements are shared in August. Meetings will be offered in a hybrid format to support accessibility for families, though we encourage parents to attend on campus where possible.
With the introduction of Hopes and Dreams Meetings, our Back-to-School Night will take place slightly later in the year and will have a more focused purpose around curriculum, learning routines, and classroom expectations. More information will follow.
For now, please save the date for your child’s grade level. We look forward to beginning the year in partnership with you.
