Mark your calendars for a vital event in our school’s calendar: the next Munich International School Association Meeting, which will take place on May 5th, 2026, at 7 pm in the Middle School Auditorium.
This meeting serves as the annual regular general assembly required by the school’s Articles of Association. It is a foundational element of our school's governance, ensuring transparency and community involvement. As a parent at MIS, you are technically a member of the Association, which grants you the right to engage directly with the school’s leadership, vote for Board members, and even run for a position on the Board yourself.
One of the most important matters on the agenda for this upcoming Assembly is the introduction of the newest Board candidates who will be up for election or re-election. This is a critical opportunity for the community to meet the individuals who will help steer the strategic direction of our school.
Board Chair Alejandro Bethlen shares the following message regarding the importance of this gathering:
Your Voice Matters: We ask all Parents to Join the MIS Association Meeting
“The Association Meeting is an important opportunity for parents to come together, hear where the school stands, ask questions, voice their views, and be part of the conversation about the future direction of MIS. Because all parents are members of the Association, this is one of the clearest moments within the year for our community to engage directly and meaningfully.
I would strongly encourage every parent to make time to attend. Your voice matters, and your participation matters. A strong turnout helps ensure that MIS benefits from an informed, engaged, and committed parent community that is actively helping to support and shape the school’s future.”
In accordance with the Articles of Association, official invitations including the full agenda and corresponding annexes will be sent at least fourteen days prior to the meeting.
