We are thrilled to announce our school’s much-anticipated Annual Literacy Event, which will take place right after Ski Week! This celebration of reading and literacy will feature a variety of engaging activities for students in the Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools. Here’s what’s in store:
Key Highlights:
· Literacy Dress-Up Day (March 21st): Students can come to school dressed as their favorite book characters!
· Book Swap (March 21st): A fantastic opportunity for students to exchange books and discover new stories to enjoy.
· Guest Readers: Special visitors will join us to read to the students in multiple languages and share their love for books.
· Other Fun Events: Exciting activities promoting literacy will take place throughout the week!
Annual Read-a-Thon:
Our Read-a-Thon is back and aims to raise funds to support our community projects inTanzania, including:
· KCMC Hospital: Tuition fees for needy students studying Occupational Therapy
· KCMC Hospital: Purchase of medical items like thermometers, blood pressure monitors
· Hope Primary School: Purchase of school supplies, rent for the school premises
· Upendo Orphanage: Purchase of milk formula, sterilising liquids
· HADEA Project: Supporting individuals living in extreme poverty and with severe disabilities
We encourage all students to participate in this meaningful event!
Junior School: Sponsorship forms and detailed information about the Read-a-Thon will be sent home with students.
Middle and Senior School: Forms can be collected from the library and will be available to download nearer the time.
