No One Goes Hungry
Full-service hospitality
G&H provides daily lunch service as well as catering for school events, parent coffee mornings, meetings, and athletics tournaments. When students can't come to the cafeteria, G&H provides sandwiches and snacks from the Language Arts and Design Center (LADC).

Family-friendly Cafe
Grab a snack and hang out
Before and after school, the cafeteria is available for MIS parents and students to grab a freshly-baked pastry and a beverage. Parent-teacher association meetings are often held in the cafeteria where parents can enjoy our array of sandwiches and snacks.

FAQs
Cashless Payment System
In order to provide fast and efficient service, each child and staff member is issued a rechargeable payment token. Cash is not accepted as payment from students. (Adults are able to pay by card.)
Students in Junior School do not need to keep track of their payment token. Each homeroom has a token-organizer to ensure no tokens are lost during cafeteria service.
Middle and Senior School students are responsible for their payment token.
Early Childhood and Grade 1 Cafeteria Service
For EC and Grade 1, their meal includes a starter, two hot main courses (one of which is vegetarian), side dishes and fruit or dessert. The food is served directly to their lunch table. Students can get a second-helping in case they are still hungry.

Kiosks
In addition to the lunch service, G&H operates one main kiosk in the Cafeteria, and two separate smaller kiosks (one in the cafeteria and one in the LADC) to cater for snacks and drinks during their breaks. Kiosks also offer a hot snack each day (e.g. sausage role). The LADC kiosk is open every day during the Senior School break.
Parents can take advantage of the kiosk offerings in the mornings and afternoons as well.
Are you worried your child won't have quality meal options? That won't happen. Grades 2 through 12 students have multiple menu options each day, and for busy students and parents who need to take their meals on-the-go, the Genuss & Harmonie cafe kiosks serve baked goods, snacks, and sandwiches from morning to the end of the school day.
Between 500 and 700 students, parents, faculty, and staff are served per day at MIS.
It takes an average of 30 seconds to serve each guest going through the service line.
