MIS has renewed its Mission and Strategic Priorities for the 2025/26 school year, developed jointly by the MIS Leadership Team and the Board. As MIS continues to evolve, so too must the language that guides us. Our renewed Mission is a reflection of both where we’ve come from and where we’re going — grounded in our enduring values, yet oriented toward the future.
At MIS, students are empowered with the problem-solving skills necessary to act and make a positive impact in the world. By fostering Bravery, Optimism, a Limitless mindset, and Determination (BOLD), we equip our students not only to dream boldly, but to have the skills and mindset to achieve boldly.
Our optimism is woven into the fabric of our supportive community, where encouragement and collaboration inspire us to achieve far more together than we could alone.

Accreditations
Founded in 1966, MIS is an independent, non-profit IB World School (IBO) that has been authorised by the International Baccalaureate (IB) since 1980. We are officially recognised by the Bavarian Ministry of Education and fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
Eco School Award
MIS is a Three-Star Eco School, the first international school to achieve this award. MIS has received this highest award for the seventh year in recognition of the work our students and teachers have accomplished on sustainability and environment-related projects.
